ISH, the leading global trade fair for bathroom experience, building, energy, air-conditioning technology and renewable energies, is the world's largest exhibition for the combination of water and energy. Around 200,000 visitors from all over the world come to Frankfurt, once in two years, to know more about the entire spectrum of innovative building system technology in the sector of ISH Energy. These are efficient heating systems in combination with renewable energy in the area of building and energy technology.
The Federal Association of the German Heating Industry (BDH) is a member of the ISH sponsorship. Along with energy and industrial associations, the BDH organises the technology and energy forum at the ISH.
Involvement of BDH in German regional trade fairs
As a conceptual sponsor, BDH supports the SHK trade fair for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, along with the professional associations of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, technically and in terms of content. The IFH/Intherm is organised once in two years at the exhibition grounds in Nuremberg. It occupies approximately 40,000 m2 and welcomes around 45,000 visitors. Along with the south German professional associations, BDH organises the SHK future forum with technical presentations for skilled trade and other technical visitors.
As a conceptual sponsor, BDH supports and conducts the SHK Essen, along with the professional association SHK NRW. On an area of 30,000 m2, the BDH members exhibit products and systems used in the heating sector. Along with the BDH, the exhibition organises the planning forum. The SHK Essen welcomes up to 48,000 visitors.
Along with the SHK regional associations of Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, the BDH provides conceptual support to the GET Nord in Hamburg. GET Nord is a combined trade fair of the electrical and electronics industry as well as heating and sanitary industry and is has an area of 25,000 m2. A total of about 40,000 professional visitors come to Hamburg.
BDH: International trade fairs
Since the end of the 1990's, the BDH provides conceptual support to the ISH China, which is known as ISH China / CIHE today and is organised once a year in Beijing. This inter-regional exhibition organised by Messe Frankfurt occupies approximately 80,000 m2 and counts about 40,000 visitors, primarily from China but also from other parts of Asia. Along with the Messe and FGK, the BDH organises the Cino European Congress on energy efficiency and renewable energies once a year. BDH applies for and organises a Federal Government participation of German exhibitors along with the BMWi.
