Ensuring data is up to date and transparent

Not only in mechanical engineering - think industry 4.0 - but also in buildings, digitization enables the optimization of entire value chains. In building and civil engineering projects, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method of digitization allows viewing the entire lifecycle of a building - from development to construction and use, to maintenance and recycling.

With the help of digital data in the format defined by VDI 3805, the MEP engineering trades involved can be coordinated within a BIM model, planning reliability can be increased and critical points can be checked more quickly (e.g. collision check). In addition, the BIM model can be extended to facility management, minimizing labor and cost.

In the future, the digital product data from the manufacturers will be provided via the international standard ISO 16757.
